Wireless Powering Internet of Things with UAVs: Challenges and Opportunities

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have the potential to overcome deployment constraint of The Internet Things (IoT) in remote or rural areas. Wirelessly powered communications (WPC) can address battery limitation IoT devices through transferring wireless power devices. integration UAVs and WPC, namely UAV-enabled powering (Ue-WPI-o T) greatly extend applications from cities In this article, we present a state-of-the-art overview Ue-WPIoT by first illustrating working flow discussing challenges. We then introduce enabling technologies realizing Ue-WPI-oT. Simulation results validate effectiveness Ue-WPIoT. finally outline future directions open issues.
